Mini Computer:

This computer works on multiuser application where 100 to 150 users work simultaneously. Mini Computer can be converted into super mini computer by using the 80836 super chips.

It is used in Industries, Researches (High Storage and Processing). Some examples: IBM 17 DEC, PDP-11, HP-9000 etc.

Main Frame Computer:

It is also a multi user system where 1000 of users work simultaneously. It has a great processing speed and data storage capacity.

It is used as a server computer. It is used in business, scientific research etc. Some of the examples are: IBM 370, UNIVAC 1110 etc.

Multics is a main frame time sharing operating system developed by Bell Laboratories.
